Philippa Ewens

Philippa accepts briefs in a range of areas including public law, civil and commercial law, and family law. She has particular expertise in administrative law (merits review and judicial review; regulatory and disciplinary litigation), employment and industrial law, medical negligence, child protection, workers compensation, and appellate court matters.

Before she was called to the Independent Bar in 2022, Philippa was counsel in the Crown Counsel Section of the Crown Solicitor’s Office (SA), accepting in-house briefs at trial and appellate level from all sections of the Crown. Philippa has appeared as counsel in most major Courts and Tribunals.

Following her admission to practice, Philippa served as associate to the Honourable Justice Samuel Doyle of the Supreme Court of South Australia.
